The Orlando Magic have gotten an outstanding effort out of Keith Bogans in December. In 4 games this month Bogans is averaging 34.8 minutes, 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. If Bogans keeps up this level of play the Magic are going to be a really hard team for the opposition to deal with.

The forwards have been excellent for the Orlando Magic this season

The Magic are getting outstanding play from their forwards so far this season. Rashard Lewis was a fantastic signing for the Magic as his shooting has helped open the paint for Dwight Howard to dominate. Lewis has played in 19 games this season and he’s averaging 39.2 minutes, 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He also has nailed 51 three pointers this season. Hedo Turkoglu is playing the best basketball of his NBA career right now. He has played in 19 games this season and he’s averaged 36.8 minutes, 18.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Turkoglu also has been outstanding beyond the three point arc as he has nailed 41. As long as these two guys keep shooting like this, Dwight Howard will face less double teams than usual and that will make the Magic offense continue to purr like a well oiled machine.

Dwight Howard has been a beast so far this season for the Orlando Magic

Dwight Howard is the most dominant big man in the NBA, period! Howard dominates on both sides of the court and he’s the biggest reason for the Magic domination this season. Howard has played in 17 games this season and he has averaged 37.8 minutes, 23.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.7 blocks per game. Look for Howard to play at this level all season long because of the Magic’s wide array of outside shooters that stretch the opposing defenses.

Jameer Nelson is playing the best basketball of his career for the Orlando Magic

Jameer Nelson has changed his game as he’s more pass-first and it has made the Magic a really deadly team on offense. Nelson has played in 17 games this season and he’s averaged 30.5 minutes, 12.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He also has shot really well from both the floor (47.5%) and the free throw line (80%) so far this season. Look for Nelson could keep up the good work as he has a lot of good shooters to get the basketball to….not to mention Dwight Howard down low.
