GAME #6: Boston Celtics 96, Orlando Magic 84

The Magic’s season ended with a thud earlier tonight as they fell behind 82-61 in the first three quarters before the Celtics called off the dogs. The Celtics also outrebounded the Magic 45-35 and that didn’t help matters at all. Dwight Howard led the way for the Magic in this game with 28 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot. Vince Carter pitched in with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists tonight. Jameer Nelson had a rough night finishing with 11 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists in this game. The Magic lose this series 4-2 to the Celtics as their season is officially over.

GAME #5: Orlando Magic 113, Boston Celtics 92

The Magic shot 52.2% from the floor last night and they outrebounded the Celtics 42-26 which were the two biggest keys to the beatdown they applied to them. Jameer Nelson led the way for the Magic in this game with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Dwight Howard pitched in with another great game finishing up with 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 blocked shots. Rashard Lewis (14 points and 7 rebounds in only 24 minutes) and J.J. Redick (14 points in 22 minutes) also had solid games for the Magic last night. The Magic are now down 3-2 to the Celtics with Game #6 being in Boston.

GAME #4: Orlando Magic 96, Boston Celtics 92 in OT

The Magic showed that they are not quitters last night as they won a very hard fought game in Boston. Dwight Howard led the way for the Magic last night with 32 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Jameer Nelson did a good job of running the offense with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Rashard Lewis only shot 4 of 10 from the floor but he still finished up with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. J.J. Redick (12 points) and Matt Barnes (10 points) each pitched in offensively for the Magic last night. The Magic are now down 3-1 in this series but game #5 is in Orlando so they have life.

GAME #3: Boston Celtics 94, Orlando Magic 71

The Magic never had a chance in Boston last night as they trailed the Celtics 75-47 after three quarters before they called off the dogs. The Magic only shot 36.9% from the floor last night and they were outrebounded 43-36 which helps tell the story of this “contest”. Vince Carter led the way for the Magic in this game with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Jameer Nelson helped out a bit last night offensively with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Mickael Pietrus pitched in with 12 points in 20 minutes off the bench. Dwight Howard though was nowhere to be seen as he finished up with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots. The Magic look like their season is going to end with a big thud as they are now down 3-0 in this series.

GAME #2: Boston Celtics 95, Orlando Magic 92

The Magic only shot 39.4% from the floor last night and it doomed them in the end despite a late rally in the 4th quarter. Dwight Howard led the way for the Magic in this game with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Vince Carter didn’t offer much support as he shot 5 of 15 from the floor to finish with 16 points and 3 steals. J.J. Redick pitched in with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists on only 3 of 9 shooting from the floor. The Magic now will board a plane for Boston down 2-0 to the Celtics.
