The Magic will be without Jameer Nelson for the next 4-6 weeks due to arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Veteran Jason Williams will replace Nelson in the starting lineup while he is out of action. This hurts the Magic as they are at their best with Nelson running the offense, but, Williams will likely do a decent job while he is out of action.

Matt Barnes is playing very well for the Magic so far this season. He has played in 10 games (7 starts) in which he is averaging 30.9 minutes, 10.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Barnes gives the Magic another good athlete to play either small forward or shooting guard giving them a lot of depth.
