The Magic have signed 25-year old C/F Dwayne Jones to compete for backup minutes along the frontline this season. Jones is a big guy at 6′11″, 251 pounds and he has little game outside of the paint. He played in 56 games (0 starts) for the Cavaliers last season and he averaged 8.4 minutes, 1.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. Jones has never really got the big time minutes to show what he can really do and he won’t again this season unless the Magic have a huge rash of injuries. Jones has now played in 74 games (0 starts) in which he has averaged 7.8 minutes, 1.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game.
