Trevor Ariza will be the 6th man for the Magic this season and he’s a big ball of energy. Ariza played in 57 games (7 starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 22.4 minutes, 8.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Carlos Arroyo will back up Jameer Nelson again this season and he’s a decent player. Arroyo played in 72 games (5 starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 18.1 minutes, 7.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. Keyon Dooling can handle either guard spot for the Magic but it might be hard for him to get a lot of playing time with J.J. Redick’s role likely to expand this season. Dooling played in 66 games (2 starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 21.8 minutes, 7.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. J.J. Redick will be a mad bomber off of the bench for the Magic this season. He played in 42 games (0 starts) as a rookie for the Magic last season and he averaged 14.8 minutes, 6.0 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. Adonal Foyle will be the backup center for the Magic this year. Foyle played in 48 games (6 starts) last season for the Warriors and he averaged 10.0 minutes, 2.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 1.0 blocked shot per game. The ageless Bo Outlaw might have a bigger role this season for the Magic after Tony Battie went down for the season. It will be interesting to see how much he has left in the gas tank. Outlaw played in 41 games (0 starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 11.1 minutes, 2.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. Pat Garrity seems to be on the back end of his career…but he can still shoot the long range shot. Garrity played in 33 games (0 starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 8.4 minutes, 2.2 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.4 assists.

Dwight Howard is the man that makes it all go as he’s one of the most dominating centers in the entire NBA and he improves his game every year….so look out NBA! He played in 82 games (all starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 36.9 minutes, 17.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 blocked shots per game. His only flaw is his free throw shooting (58.6%) and that could be a problem in the playoffs as the Magic are confident that they will make a deep run. Rashard Lewis was signed as a free agent and he will start at power forward for the Magic this season. He played in 60 games (all starts) last season for the Sonics and he averaged 39.2 minutes, 22.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Hedo Turkoglu will be the starting small forward and he’s a very skilled offensive player. Turkoglu played in 73 games (all starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 31.0 minutes, 13.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Jameer Nelson will run the point again for the Magic and they need him to pass the ball more. Nelson played in 77 games (all starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 30.3 minutes, 13.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. Keith Bogans won the starting shooting guard spot on the Magic and that came as a small surprise. He played in 59 games (18 starts) last season for the Magic and he averaged 16.8 minutes, 5.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.
