Dwight Howard had a fantasic season as he drove his team to the playoffs this season.  In 82 games, he averaged 36.9 minutes, 17.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 blocked shots.  Howard made 60.3% of his shots from the floor but he continued to have problems at the free throw line as he only hit 58.6% from the line.  Howard is a great player but he would be an MVP candidate if he could just hit 70% of his free throws.

Howard’s career numbers have continued to spike due to his fine play.  In 246 career NBA games, Howard has averaged 35.4 minutes, 15.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.6 blocks per game.  Howard’s FG % has risen to 55.4% from the floor, but his free throw shooting took a downturn as he’s only hit 61% from the free throw line.  Look for Howard’s numbers to continue to improve for the next few seasons.
