Grant Hill led the way for the Magic with 21 points and 6 rebounds.  Dwight Howard was a monster around the basket with 14 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.  Darko Milicic had a good game off the bench with 12 points and 9 rebounds.  Keyon Dooling (11 points, 4 rebounds) and Travis Diener (11 points, 4 assists) both helped out off the bench.

The Magic improved to 16-10 on the season with this win.

Magic lose tough one at home 91-84 to Raptors

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Thursday 14 December 2006 at 2:28 am

The Magic really laid an egg last night against the Raptors.  The Raptors didn’t even have Chris Bosh available, but the Magic still couldn’t beat them.  The Magic were cold from the floor as they only hit 37.6% from the floor.

Carlos Arroyo got to start (Jameer Nelson was out) and he played well.  He scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  Dwight Howard had a monster game around the basket with 17 points and 13 rebounds.  Tony Battie (11 points) and Keyon Dooling (10 points) each added to the offense.

The Magic fell to 15-9 with this loss.

Rookies not getting much PT

Blogged under Rookie Reports, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 13 December 2006 at 12:05 am

The Magic is playing to good right now to worry about getting rookies playing time.  First round pick JJ Redick has only played in 2 games this season and has averaged 6.7 minutes, 3.0 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.5 assists per game so far this season.

Rookie forward James Augustine has yet to step on the floor.

Magic fall at home to Suns 103-89

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 12 December 2006 at 2:13 pm

The Magic had a rough night as Dwight Howard was in foul trouble the whole night and wound up with only 4 points and 3 rebounds.  The Magic were outscored by the Suns 30-14 in the third quarter and the Suns shot 51.4% from the floor.  So there were many reasons for this loss.

Trevor Ariza led the Magic with 19 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.  Grant Hill played a decent game with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Carlos Arroyo (12 points), Keyon Dooling (10 points, 4 assists) and Darko Milicic (10 points, 6 rebounds) all helped out of the bench for the Magic.

The Magic fell to 15-8 on the season with this loss.
