Jameer Nelson has waited for his big chance and played well as the back-up point guard.  Nelson is an outstanding shooter from the field, nailing 47.0% of his field goals.  Nelson can stretch the defense with his 3-point shooting (37.3%) but will probably be a pass-first point guard.  Nelson has averaged 11.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game in basically 24 minutes per contest.

Carlos Arroyo is a good back-up point guard.  Arroyo has only averaged 17.8 minutes per game so far in his career.  Arroyo has averaged 6.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Travis Diener is basically a three-point gunner that plays point guard.  Diener nails 43.9% of his 3-point attempts.
